What you’ll do

  • Work closely with Littlstar leadership to define and implement communication and marketing tactics.
  • Help uphold the Littlstar brand through strategy, design, and content creation
  • Support the companies and projects that Littlstar engages with in building strong co-marketing and communications efforts
  • Open new communications and marketing channels, and media and agency relationships, as needed to realize company vision
  • Work to develop, pitch and place media content on third-party channels

  • Partner with designers and social media manager to concept and execute strong social content and campaigns

In this role, you’ll work closely with folks who are open source obsessed, command-line junkies, and trying to break down the barriers to widespread VR adoption.

Data Engineer

Littlstar is seeking a creative, passionate, and experienced data engineer to be the third member of our data team. You will be instrumental in building out our diverse and constantly evolving data platform.     Lead Media Engineer

    We are looking for an experienced, accomplished multimedia engineer to help build Littlstar’s complex media asset pipeline. The right candidate will be a proud practitioner of the dark art of digital signal processing, and will exude a passion for audiovisual compression technologies. They will work closely with the Director of Media Technology to set industry standards, proliferate best practices, and help influence the future of immersive media.
     

    What you’ll do

    • Design and administer a first-class asset orchestration backend to streamline and automate Littlstar’s complex multimedia processing and distribution pipeline. 
       
    •  Implement and scale Littlstar’s media asset ingestion and validation services. 
       
    • Ideate on solutions dealing with media’s cutting edge, including spatial audio, stereoscopic video, HDR and wide-gamut color, and tile-based streaming adaptivity. 
       
    • Write well-documented, maintainable code with strong test coverage.

    Who you are

    • You have 6+ years experience managing high-volume technical workflows for a digital media firm as a sysadmin, encoding technician, or archivist. 
       
    • You have a proven track record of leveraging modern media technologies to build automated content creation and distribution web services. 
       
    • You have a solid understanding of video and audio codecs, streaming, and signal processing. 
       
    • You are obsessed media quality, bitrate tuning, and conducting media A/B tests. 
       
    • You are fluent in Unix on the cloud as well as in the data center, and have strong opinions on choices of file systems, IT automation, and security protocols. 
       
    • You have experience as a content creator in some professional capacity, i.e.: post-production engineer, audio engineer, filmmaker, music composer, photographer, colorist, etc.

    Financial Controller at Littlstar

    Operations | New York, NY | Full Time Position

    Littlstar is looking for an amazing financial controller, or comptroller, with experience in HR management to undertake all aspects of corporate finance, including accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. Finance controller responsibilities will also include financial risk management and analysis, and dealing with international sales, tax, and regulations. HR management includes setting up new employees, handling expenses, bonuses, and fielding questions regarding Justworks setup.


    Responsibilities: 

    • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
       
    • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
       
    • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
       
    • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
       
    • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
       
    • Support month-end and year-end close process
       
    • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
